You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers!
Why Merino wool?
So many reasons!
- Merino wool is naturally soft, like seriously soft.
- Merino wool is odor-resistant. Yup, no more smelly socks.
- Merino wool is naturally wicking. This might be the most important thing. Merino wool has a unique ability to move sweat away from your feet to keep them dryer. This not only keeps your feet more comfortable but also reduces the friction that can contribute to blisters.
- Merino wool is extremely durable. You know how your regular socks tend to stretch out after a few months? Maybe the elastic around your ankles doesn’t hold or the toes get weirdly long? Not Merino wool, which holds its shape better than cotton.
Aren't wool socks hot?
Nope! It's a common misconception that wool is hot, but it isn't! The secret is that natural wicking ability we just talked about.
What's wrong with cotton socks?
Ummmm, so, kinda’ everything. While cotton can be great for many things, it’s not great for socks. Scratch that; it’s terrible for socks. Why? Because cotton retains moisture and, especially when your feet are closed in shoes and feet sweat when your body is working – so yeah, anytime you are playing pickleball. In fact, your feet have more sweat glands per inch than anywhere else in your body!
Wool, on the other hand, breathes, wicks moisture, dries quickly and is antimicrobial, making it perfect for pickleball and most other sports, too! Although, maybe don’t take them swimming …
Wait, so can I wear my PB Sox for other activities?
Yup! In fact, we encourage it. Everything that makes them so great for pickleball make them amazing for working out, hiking, and everyday wear.
How do I care for my PB Sox?
To maintain the joy you get from your PB Sox, we recommend that you turn them inside out, wash them with “like colors” on the gentle cycle with cool or warm water (not hot) using mild detergent. Then, tumble ‘em dry on low. Avoid bleach (which can degrade the wool) and fabric softener (which can coat the wool fibers and interfere with their natural breathing and wicking abilities).
What does ethically-farmed mean?
So glad you asked! We love Merino sheep and source our wool from farms that engage in ethical farming. Our sheep are pasture raised on Australian farms that do not participate in the practice of "mulesing", which mutilates the sheep. It's gross and cruel, so not in our socks!
What's your return policy?
Super simple. Hate them? Return them. See details here.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet! We're working on it so stay tuned.
I'd love to sell PB Sox in my store! Who do I call?
